I need a little programming help!

I'm looking for someone who can help on a project I been working on. I designed a unbuffered jtag (14 pin EJTAG) standard to connect and communicate to a DCT cable box for testing purposes using "Tom's jtag utility v1.3". The utility does recongnize the chipset but not the flash and I have limited knowledge of programming as I am experienced in electronics. I know the .def file needs modding as I have tried with no success. Anyone who thinks they can help with properly modding the .def file so it will pick up the flash could either post a reply or PM me.

This is a alternative way of testing DCT comcast boxes. As I will share all the info on this project when its completed as freeware

wELL now that's a very interesting project, unfortunately i have no idea about it, never did anything with those hardware.

Try looking for similar source code, or on google code search engine, to find something that can help you.

Thanks for your interest and reply, Brian its appreciated. Yes I have looked on google for but even if I found the source code I wouldnt know what I was looking at LOL. Do you know how to read that type of info? Maybe your skills could be helpfull

What kind of info is it, give me a big back drop and i can help you with ideas and how to get data. I've worked with embedded systems, but i dont know too many protocols or devices.

Let me know how I can upload the jtag utility and then I will give the schematic for the jtag or better yet give me a address and I will send one made up already. You can PM that info of coarse.

I think you can think of a way to, simply explain the protocols/structures/layouts of the embedded system without having to upload a thing ;).
