Try to isolate your problem into a small section of code before you post it. Many Inferno experts will not help you if it's a huge piece of code that it hard to read.
Do not post spam or senseless comments you could be removed. Do not edit your code to delete it after you have received help.
Be sure to post often and bookmark the forums for easy access.
When you are asking for help for your code:
- You must use [code=cpp] (C++ Highlighting) or whatever language you use to syntax highlight your code. We will not help those who do not wrap their code in code tags.
- You must describe your problem, with 2 sentences or paragraphs: "What you want the program to do" and "What your program is currently doing". We need to know your input/outputs! Not every expert at Inferno will compile your code simply because you asked.
- You must be respectful of people helping, and you should repay them back by posting actively in the forums and trying to help others. Of course some of you are very busy, but no one is that busy, helping others does not take up too much time.
- Do not order or command people in this forum to do something, and do not say something along the lines of "Help me with this homework, thx, I need it asap". Simply post the code and show us code, we will not help you write a program from nothing, you have to get it started.
