[TV] Jericho

There's this canceled show called Jericho. And since I'm a damn crazy TV watcher that only seems to watch canceled shows (such as Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles, Dollhouse... intelligent shows, RIP), I thought I'd let you know of this other canceled show called Jericho.

It's set in a small town in the US, where the people see a mushroom cloud in the distance. Turns out, all major American cities have been nuked to hell. They don't know anything, but are surviving from day to day (first avoiding radiation, then trying to restore order and find out what's going on ; At first they were dumb enuf to not even realize they're in a war).

What's funny is, that the townspeople try to act like everything is still sort of normal. They help each other, and it's all fine and dandy.

What they don't realize, is that in such a nuclear aftermath, the world changes. And without a proper government. The local governments must sink back into Feudalism as in the Dark ages, or they will surely perish. Except the local government and the mayor, are continuing to act like everything works the same with minor differences.

But the show evolves and gets interesting in the second season. When responses of the federal government are visible.

I watched it a long time ago when it was canceled. I loved it, so sad it ended...

I didn't like the actors much, I watched it a couple of times. My dad seemed to like it a lot though and he was disappointed when it was canceled.

Yeah, I remember when it was on. The concept of the show seemed pretty damn sweet, but I also didn't like the acting.

I find the people in the town (including the spy in the town), incredibly dumb. Some parts of the show are very intelligent, but other times they're just dumb.

"The Chinese dropped us a care package with food. What if they are trying to poison us." Yeah, that makes sense. The Chinese want to win you over so they can rule you, perhaps. Perhaps they really do want to be your friend. But they wouldn't drop care packages to commit genocide. But the townspeople were like "Well maybe they want to poison us to make sure we don't have enough healthy people to fight them"-- rofl, you think the Chinese government with their millions of men armies, need help in fighting a bunch of hicks after a nuclear-bombed and crippled United States???

Lmao.. or those care packages could be bombs ya? I'm sure they could make about 5000 bombs in about 10 seconds with all their factory workers...
