Visual Debugger for Java
Carnegie Mellon has been working on a project to allow you to ask literal debugging questions that relates directly to the source code, instead of you guessing why your code didn't do what you want.
Be sure to watch the 90 second video, it seems very well thought out. They even got a timeline where you can play back the output. http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~NatProg/whyline-java.html Research Assistant at UCF - Computer Science & IT |

RE: Visual Debugger for Java
I think Java is the only language this would work for, as the code is readily available to access, because the JVM has to run it. I doubt this could be reproduced for C++, but I would like to see someone do it. =)

RE: Visual Debugger for Java
Yeah, that's entirely true!
Very useful though, I envy the Java programmers sometimes... lucky bastards! Get Linux or die tryin' |
